Litel's Broadway appearances spanned a wide range of productions. His earliest credit was Irene in 1919, followed by Thoroughbreds in 1924, The Beaten Track in 1925, and The Half Naked Truth in 1926. He also appeared as Mr. Thackery, the boss of Robert S. Beanblossom as played by Bob Cummings, in The Bob Cummings Show during the early to mid-1950s, and portrayed Mr. Crenshaw in an episode of Sugarfoot titled "The Giant Killer."
