Joey Slotnick

Joey Slotnick is an American actor born on October 2, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, before building a career that has spanned film, television, and stage.

Slotnick's film work includes a role in the 1996 blockbuster Twister and a portrayal of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in Pirates of Silicon Valley. He appeared in Hollow Man in 2000 and completed the suspense film Elevator in 2011, in which his character is among several people trapped in a New York elevator with an evil presence.

On television, Slotnick was a cast member of The Single Guy from 1995 to 1997 and appeared in Boston Public during the 2000–2001 season. He recurred on Nip/Tuck between 2003 and 2006. His television work also includes guest appearances on a number of other series, as well as commercial work for the NBA, 21st Century Insurance, Staples, and Verizon Fios.

In 2009, Slotnick took on the role of Captain Jeffrey Spaulding, originated on screen by Groucho Marx, in the Goodman Theatre's production of Animal Crackers. That performance earned him a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for best actor.

His Broadway career spans 2013 to 2017 and includes three plays: The Big Knife, The Front Page, and Junk.
