Jo Farwell was an American actress who appeared on Broadway in 1980 in Children of a Lesser God. She was born Joerle Anne Gaines and worked professionally under the name Jo Farwell.
Farwell married actor Jonathan Farwell on July 23, 1955. The couple had two daughters: Alison Beatrice Farwell, born in 1958, and Elisabeth Evelyn Farwell, born in 1961. They separated in 1977 but remained legally married. Farwell died of breast cancer in 1994 while Jonathan Farwell was working on a production of Shadowlands on location.
