Jim Parrack

Jim Parrack is an American actor born on February 8, 1981, in Allen, Texas, where he attended Allen High School. In 2001, he relocated to Los Angeles, California, and pursued formal acting training at the Stella Adler Academy and subsequently at the Playhouse West.

Parrack made his screen debut in the 2006 drama film Annapolis. Between 2006 and 2008, he made guest appearances on several television series, including Monk, Grey's Anatomy, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Criminal Minds. In 2008, he was cast as Hoyt Fortenberry in the HBO vampire drama True Blood, a role he held as a main cast member for the first five seasons before departing for one season and returning for the seventh and final season.

His film work includes the 2011 military science fiction film Battle: Los Angeles, directed by Jonathan Liebesman and featuring Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan, Ne-Yo, and Michael Peña. In 2013, Parrack appeared in Child of God and the Spanish-American production A Night in Old Mexico. He subsequently co-starred in Fury (2014), The Adderall Diaries (2015), and Suicide Squad (2016).

Parrack's Broadway career includes the 2014 production of Of Mice and Men, in which he played the role of Slim alongside James Franco, Chris O'Dowd, and Leighton Meester. In September 2019, he was cast as Judson "Judd" Ryder in the Fox drama series 9-1-1: Lone Star, which began airing in 2020. Parrack also serves as president of 120 Productions, Inc.
