Jill Tasker

Jill Renee Tasker, born in 1963 or 1964, is an American actress and Columbus, Indiana native who built a career across theater, television, and voiceover work before transitioning into law and the arts administration. Her father is James R. Tasker, her mother is Sandi Hinshaw, and her stepfather is Tom Hinshaw. Tasker developed her interest in performance during her years at Columbus East High School, where she studied drama and participated in productions, graduating in 1982. She went on to earn a degree in theater from Boston University's School of Fine Arts in 1986.

Tasker's professional career began in television with a 1988 appearance on Hothouse. She subsequently built her stage résumé through several Off-Broadway productions, including And the Air Didn't Answer, Tiny Mommy, and Women & Wallace. Her Broadway debut came in 1992, when she portrayed Sybil Chase in the production of Private Lives. Television work followed throughout the 1990s, including guest appearances on The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd, Law & Order, and American Playhouse. From 1995 to 1996, she held a recurring role as Lou Malino across nine episodes of The Wayans Bros. on The WB.

In November 2013, Tasker became executive director of the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts. She earned a J.D. degree in 2004 and has since worked as a voiceover artist and personal coach. In 2019, she performed in her first one-woman show, a one-act play presented as part of Collector's Showcase 2019: A Sitting with Marie in Nashville. Tasker was married to Marc Hirschfeld on July 6, 1991, in Columbus, and later married actor Doug Stender, with the couple residing in New York City before she returned to Columbus.
