Jesse Corti

Jesse Corti is an American actor and theater director born on July 3, 1955. He is recognized for originating the role of Courfeyrac in the Broadway production of Les Misérables, which he joined in 1987, and for providing the voice of LeFou in the animated film Beauty and the Beast.

Corti's screen work spans both film and television, with appearances in series including 24, Heroes, Desperate Housewives, The West Wing, Judging Amy, and Law & Order. His voice acting credits include the Spanish Dignitary in Frozen and Mr. Manchas in Zootopia. In addition to performing, he has directed stage productions in Los Angeles.

In 1986, Corti married Laura Lyn Deberardino. The following year, while returning to New York City after attending a performance of Les Misérables in which her husband was appearing at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Deberardino was killed in a 1987 collision between an Amtrak train and a Conrail freight train in Chase, Maryland. The crew of the freight train subsequently tested positive for marijuana. In response, Corti appeared in both an English-language and a Spanish-language public service announcement for Partnership for a Drug-Free America. In 1990, he received a Clio Award for his work on the Drug-Free America commercial.
