Jere Shea is an American actor born on June 14, 1965, in Boston, Massachusetts. He is best known for his work on Broadway during the early 1990s, where he originated the role of Giorgio in Stephen Sondheim's Passion. That performance earned him both a Theatre World Award in 1994 and a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical.

Shea's Broadway career spanned from 1992 to 1994, during which he appeared in two productions. In addition to his starring role in Passion, he also appeared in Guys and Dolls.

In 1998, Shea stepped away from acting to focus on his family, subsequently taking on a role in government as deputy chief of staff to Massachusetts Governor Paul Cellucci. He remained outside the entertainment industry for nearly two decades before returning to the stage in a 2016 concert production of The Secret Garden. He later appeared in the Showtime series City on a Hill, which premiered in 2019.
