Jennifer Savidge

Jennifer Savidge is an American actress whose career spans Broadway, television, and film. She studied acting under Milton Katselas and began her stage work in the mid-1970s, appearing on Broadway between 1976 and 1977. During that period she portrayed Hilda in The Night of the Iguana in 1976 and Lady of Verona in Romeo and Juliet in 1977. In addition to her Broadway work, Savidge performed in regional theater productions, and between stage engagements she held other positions, including managing a restaurant and managing an art gallery.

Savidge became widely recognized for her role as Nurse Lucy Papandrao on the NBC medical drama St. Elsewhere, on which she was a regular cast member from 1982 to 1988. Throughout the 1990s she guest starred on a number of television series, among them L.A. Law, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Sisters, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Beverly Hills, 90210, while also appearing in several made-for-television movies. From 2000 to 2005 she held the recurring role of Commander Amy Helfman on the CBS procedural JAG. In 2015 she played Ruth Taylor in the first season of American Crime on ABC.

Her film work includes Clifford and Magic Kid 2, both released in 1994, followed by True Crime in 1996, Evolution in 2001, Searching for Sonny in 2011, and Rudderless in 2014. On May 19, 2001, Savidge married actor Robert Fuller in Los Angeles. The couple relocated to a ranch near Dallas, Texas, in 2004.
