About
Jack Cutmore-Scott is an English actor born in London on April 16, 1987. The son of two accountants, he spent a gap year at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and participated in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival before pursuing formal higher education. He went on to study English literature, languages, and theatre at Harvard University, and began his acting career at the age of 20.
Cutmore-Scott made his Broadway appearances between 2011 and 2012, performing in productions of Cyrano de Bergerac and Arcadia. His early screen work includes the 2014 film Kingsman: The Secret Service, in which he portrayed Rufus Saville. In 2016, he took on the title role in the Fox comedy series Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life.
In 2018, Cutmore-Scott joined the cast of the ABC murder-mystery series Deception, playing Cameron Black, a disgraced illusionist who becomes an FBI consultant following a magic trick gone wrong. The role also required him to portray Cameron's identical twin brother Jonathan, who is incarcerated. To prepare for both parts, he trained with magicians David Kwong and Francis Menotti to develop the sleight-of-hand skills the show demanded.
Since 2023, Cutmore-Scott has starred as Frederick "Freddy" Crane, the son of the title character, in the Paramount+ revival of the long-running sitcom Frasier.
