Isla Mary Bevan, born Foster on 26 October 1908 and died 19 July 1976, was a British actress who worked in both stage and film. Her career spanned the early sound era of cinema as well as the theatrical world on both sides of the Atlantic.
Bevan made her Broadway appearance in 1929, performing in Bitter Sweet. Her stage work extended to the United States during a period when British performers were frequently sought for productions in New York.
Her film career was concentrated in the early 1930s, during which she appeared in a number of British productions. In 1932 alone she took roles in Nine till Six, The Sign of Four, The Face at the Window, and The World, the Flesh, and the Devil. She continued working in film the following year with Puppets of Fate in 1933, and later appeared in Fair Exchange in 1936.
