Ian Kahn is an American actor, stage performer, and podcast host born on April 21, 1972. He attended the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in Riverdale, Bronx, New York, graduating in 1990, and went on to earn a degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, in 1994. Kahn is Jewish.
Kahn made his Broadway debut in Enron at the Broadhurst Theater in April 2010. Prior to that, he had made his off-Broadway debut in September 2009 in MCC's Still Life. His regional theater work spans major companies across the United States and has encompassed a wide range of roles, including Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace at Baltimore Center Stage, Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest at Arena Stage, Johnny Wheelwright in A Prayer for Owen Meany at Roundhouse Theater, Tom in The Glass Menagerie at St. Louis Rep, Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady at The Media Theater, Septimus Hodge in Arcadia at the Wilma Theater, and William Shakespeare in The Beard of Avon at the Cape Playhouse.
On television, Kahn is perhaps most recognized for portraying George Washington across 24 episodes of the 2014 series Turn: Washington's Spies. His other television credits include Dawson's Creek, The Unusuals, As the World Turns, and Bull.
