Holley Fain is an American actress originally from Leawood, Kansas, whose career spans Broadway, television, and film. She trained in acting at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before establishing herself across multiple performance mediums.
Fain made her Broadway debut in 2010 with the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Present Laughter, in which she portrayed Daphne Stillington. Her stage work continued with a role as Ruth Kelly in Harvey, and she later appeared in The Ferryman, with her Broadway career spanning from 2010 to 2018.
On television, Fain is recognized for two recurring roles in particular: Maureen van der Bilt on The CW's teen drama Gossip Girl, and Dr. Julia Canner on the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Her additional television credits include 3 lbs, Lipstick Jungle, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Good Wife, Memphis Beat, and The Mentalist. In 2015, she was cast in the pilot of ABC's crime drama Wicked City, playing Trish Roth.
