Hettienne Park

Hettienne Park is an American actress and writer born in Boston and raised in Wayland, Massachusetts, of South Korean descent. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in religion and economics from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Park studied classical flute and piano at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston before pursuing acting training for two years at the William Esper Studio in Manhattan.

Park's first performance as an actress came in a junior high school production of Cats. Her screen debut followed in the 2007 film Year of the Fish. She subsequently appeared in supporting roles in films including Bride Wars (2009), Young Adult (2011), and Don't Look Up.

On television, Park is best known for portraying Special Agent Beverly Katz in the psychological horror series Hannibal, a role she held from 2013 to 2014. Katz is a crime-scene investigator specializing in fiber analysis, and Park appeared in the series alongside Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy. In 2018 she appeared in Blindspot, and in 2020 she starred as Tamika Collins in the HBO adaptation of Stephen King's The Outsider.

Park made her Broadway debut in 2011 in Theresa Rebeck's Seminar. Her stage work during that period also included The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures by Tony Kushner. In 2012, Park received the 68th Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway and Off-Broadway debuts, recognizing her performances in both productions.
