Herbert Fortier (1867 – February 16, 1949) was a Canadian actor who built a career spanning both the Broadway stage and silent film. Born in Toronto, he later settled in the United States, residing with his wife Frances in Newfield, New Jersey as of 1913, and dying in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Fortier's stage career on Broadway extended from 1908 to 1928 and included appearances in the plays Atlas and Eva, He Loved the Ladies, and Agnes.
Alongside his theatrical work, Fortier established a substantial presence in silent cinema, appearing in more than 50 films between 1915 and 1937. His screen credits include The Ringtailed Rhinoceros (1915), The City of Failing Light (1916), Dollars and the Woman (1916), The Gulf Between (1917), Who's Your Brother?
