Henry Tobias was an American songwriter and Broadway performer born on April 23, 1905, in Worcester, Massachusetts. He died on December 5, 1997. He was the youngest of three brothers, the others being Charles Tobias and Harry Tobias.
Tobias appeared on Broadway in 1939 in the production Off to Buffalo. Beyond his stage work, he pursued a career as a songwriter. In 1974 he wrote the song "Hang In There, Mr. President," a composition offered in support of Richard Nixon. The song was recorded by Bernie Knee with Frank Yankovic and his Orchestra and released on the Telemark label.
