Heather Lind

Heather Lind is an American actress born in 1983 or 1984 in Upland, Pennsylvania, who was raised in Guilderland, New York. She is the twin sister of actress Christina Bennett Lind. Lind completed her Bachelor of Arts at Fordham University in 2005 and subsequently earned a Master of Fine Arts in acting from New York University's Graduate Acting program.

Lind's Broadway career spans 2010 to 2018 and includes productions such as The Merchant of Venice and The Nap. Her Broadway debut came through the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merchant of Venice, in which she portrayed Jessica, the daughter of Shylock, a role played by Al Pacino. That performance earned her the 67th annual Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performances during the 2010–2011 theatrical season.

On television, Lind is best known for playing Anna Strong in the AMC series Turn: Washington's Spies. In 2011, she appeared in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire as Katy, the maid of Margaret Thompson. She also provided narration for the audiobook of Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Prince alongside Ed Westwick.

In late October 2017, as part of the #MeToo campaign, Lind publicly accused former president George H. W. Bush of sexually assaulting her during a publicity photo taken in connection with Turn: Washington's Spies. In an Instagram post, she described Bush touching her from behind while his wife Barbara Bush stood nearby, telling her a dirty joke, and touching her again while the photograph was being taken. Lind subsequently deleted the post. A spokesman for Bush acknowledged that the former president had on occasion patted women's rears during photographs and offered his apology to anyone he had offended.
