Heather Joan Canning (5 January 1933 – 30 May 1996) was an English actress born in Epsom, Surrey. She was married to the Australian actor Leon Lissek and died at the age of 63 in Oxford.
Canning built a stage career that spanned multiple prominent venues, including work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, appearances in the West End, and a Broadway credit. In 1965, she appeared on Broadway in The Persecution and Assassination of Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade.
Her television work was extensive. She appeared in the British soap opera Crossroads twice, first in 1964 as Shirley Coniston and again in 1978 in the role of Adrienne Palmer. Additional television credits include Morning Story in 1970, Miss Julie in 1972, Tis Pity She's a Whore in 1980, and A Village Affair in 1995. Among her later television appearances was the role of Isabel Rockmetteller in the second episode of the third series of Jeeves and Wooster, the 1990s British comedy series.
