Hani Furstenberg

Hani Furstenberg is an Israeli-American actress and singer born on September 14 in Israel to a family of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. She moved to New York City at six weeks old and remained there until her family relocated back to Israel when she was 16. Since 2010, Furstenberg has lived in the United States with her Israeli husband, Ido Heskia, and their daughter.

Furstenberg began building her profile in Israel through television and stage work, earning early recognition for her portrayal of Lilach in the TV drama The Bourgeoisie (HaBurganim). She went on to appear in numerous Israeli plays and television series, including the second season of False Flag. Her Israeli film work includes roles in Yossi & Jagger and Campfire, projects that established her reputation in that market.

Her international profile grew substantially through her performance in the award-winning film The Loneliest Planet, for which she became widely recognized outside Israel. In 2019, she starred in Epic Pictures' The Golem. She also appeared in the second season of the American television series American Gods, playing Maman Brigitte, the loa and wife of Baron Samedi from Haitian Vodou.

Furstenberg made her Broadway debut in December 2014, taking on the role of Fraulein Kost in Cabaret. That production marked her entry into the New York stage world she had first inhabited as a child before her family's return to Israel.
