Guy Kingsley Poynter, known professionally as Guy Kingsley, was an American actor born on 3 September 1915. He died in London on 6 September 1983.

Kingsley made his Broadway appearance in 1938, performing in Danton's Death. That same year he appeared on screen in Too Much Johnson, playing the role of Henry MacIntosh.

He became particularly well known to radio audiences through his recurring role as Doctor Daniel "Doc" Matthews in the 1950s series Journey into Space. His film work during the 1950s included Cage of Gold (1950), in which he played an American soldier, The Good Die Young (1954), in which he appeared as a US serviceman at a train station, and The Crooked Sky (1957), where he took the role of Tom Alanson. He played a Deputy Sheriff in Floods of Fear (1958).

Kingsley's career continued into the 1960s with a range of film and television engagements. He appeared in the television drama Armchair Theatre in 1959 and had a role in Beyond the Curtain (1960) as Captain Law. He also appeared, uncredited, in Peeping Tom (1960) as studio cameraman P. Tate. In 1961 he served as narrator for Harrison Marks' Naked as Nature Intended, and again as narrator for Have Bikini Will Travel in 1962. He played the American commentator in Heavens Above! (1963) and appeared as Dr. Larry Snyder in The Girl Hunters (1963). He also appeared twice in ITV's Play of the Week in 1963.

Throughout his career Kingsley took on roles of varying size, frequently appearing alongside prominent performers of the era. In his personal life, he married Margaret E. Fraser in 1947.
