Graham Beckel

Graham Stuart Beckel, born December 22, 1949, in Old Lyme, Connecticut, is an American character actor whose work spans stage, film, and television. He trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and is the younger brother of the late political strategist and television commentator Bob Beckel.

Beckel made his Broadway debut in 1976 as part of A Texas Trilogy, appearing in two of the cycle's installments: The Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia and Lu Ann Hampton Laverty Oberlander.

His film work includes the role of Ford in the drama The Paper Chase and Detective Richard Stensland in Curtis Hanson's L.A. Confidential. He appeared in The Astronaut Farmer as Frank, a diner customer, and portrayed oil tycoon Ellis Wyatt in the 2011 adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.

On television, Beckel played Jack Fisk in Battlestar Galactica and Hal Sanders in Heroes. He held a recurring role on the AMC series Halt & Catch Fire as Nathan Cardiff, the owner of the fictional company Cardiff Electric. His guest appearances include Kojak, The Equalizer, The Practice, Longmire, Grey's Anatomy, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, and Criminal Minds.

In 1984, Beckel married Elizabeth Briggs Bailey, whose grandfather was Robert Fiske Bradford, Governor of Massachusetts.
