Geraldine Court

Geraldine Court, born Geraldine Oldenboorn on July 28, 1942, in Binghamton, New York, was an American actress who worked across stage, television, and directing throughout her career. She died on November 20, 2010. Though she was born in Binghamton, her childhood also took her to Nashville and New Orleans before she pursued formal training in New York City, where she received a Frances Fuller Scholarship and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Court's Broadway career spanned from 1963 to 1973 and included appearances in Medea, in which she performed in the chorus, and Barefoot in the Park. Beyond Broadway, she took part in national touring productions of Barefoot in the Park, Play It Again, Sam, and The Tender Trap. Her off-Broadway work encompassed The Lower Depths of Maxim Gorki and Possibilities.

Television occupied a significant portion of Court's professional life. She portrayed Jennifer Richard Evans on Guiding Light for three years and played Ann Larimer on The Doctors for nearly eight years. Additional television credits include As the World Turns, Another World, and All My Children. She also worked briefly as a writer for the serial Loving.

Court additionally pursued directing, with productions staged at the Greeley Street Theater, Forum at Lincoln Center, Manhattan Theatre Club, and Playwrights Horizon.
