Geno Segers

Lonnie G. "Geno" Segers Jr. is an American actor and former professional athlete whose career has spanned stage, television, film, and video games. Before entering entertainment, Segers competed in American football, wrestling, and track during his high school and college years, playing football at Western Carolina University. He subsequently pursued professional rugby league, earning two caps for the United States national rugby league team in matches against Wales in 1995 while competing in the American National Rugby League. He later relocated to New Zealand, where he played for the Richmond Rovers rugby league team.

The transition from athletics to performance came at a friend's suggestion, when Segers auditioned for voice work at a New Zealand radio station. His natural bass tone drew significant attention and led to representation by an agent, which resulted in his being cast as Mufasa in the Australian production of The Lion King. He went on to portray the same role in both the American and Chinese productions of the musical, including a Broadway appearance in 2003.

On television, Segers is perhaps best known for playing Chayton Littlestone in the Cinemax original series Banshee and Kincaid on MTV's Teen Wolf. He held a main role as Mason Makoola on the Disney XD series Pair of Kings beginning in 2010, and later appeared as Dwayne in NBC's Perfect Harmony. He also served as co-host of Fort Boyard: Ultimate Challenge for two seasons. In 2018, he recurred as the villain Ryker on Knight Squad and reprised that role in a crossover episode of Henry Danger.

In film, Segers appeared in the 2015 western horror feature Bone Tomahawk, portraying a major antagonist known as Boar Tusk, a mute member of a cannibalistic group called the Troglodytes. He has also contributed to the video game medium, voicing Hekarro, Leader of the Tenakth, in Horizon Forbidden West.
