Gavin Thomas Leatherwood is an American actor born on June 7, 1994, in Maui, Hawaii. He grew up in California before relocating to Oregon at age 18. Leatherwood has one older sister, Chloe, and is primarily of Irish descent with additional Native American, English, Spanish, and Welsh ancestry.
Leatherwood's performance career began in theater, where he appeared in productions including All My Sons and Peter Pan. His Broadway credit is Peter Pan, with his Broadway appearance occurring in 2004. He also made early television appearances in 2017, with cameo roles in NCIS and Grown-ish.
His profile rose significantly in 2018 when he was cast as Nicholas Scratch, the lead male role in Netflix's supernatural horror series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which ran from 2018 to 2020. He additionally appeared as Sabrina Carpenter's love interest in the music video for her single "Skin." In 2021, Leatherwood joined the main cast of the HBO Max teen comedy-drama The Sex Lives of College Girls, created by Mindy Kaling. In 2024, he starred in the sci-fi thriller film It's What's Inside, written and directed by Greg Jardin.
Alongside his acting work, Leatherwood has pursued a music career. He released his debut single "Just For Tonight" on February 19, 2021, produced in collaboration with Boom Forest Music, Thomas Dutton, and Gavin McDonald. He followed that with "Driftwood Mermaid" on October 22, 2021, and "Be My Lover" on April 8, 2022. His debut EP, Moonlighting, was released on October 21, 2022. Leatherwood plays guitar, ukulele, and piano. Since 2024, he has been in a relationship with model Sophie Rothschild.
