About
Gabriel Gascon was a Canadian stage and film actor born on January 8, 1927, in Montreal, Quebec. He was the son of Charles-Auguste Gascon and Marie-Rose Dubuc, and the brother of both filmmaker Gilles Gascon and actor Jean Gascon.
Gascon's entry into acting came through his elder brother Jean, who helped him join the Compagnons de Saint-Laurent. He subsequently developed his career in France, where he also met fellow Canadian actor Andrée Lachapelle.
In 1958, Gascon appeared on Broadway, performing in two productions: Le Mariage Forcé and the comedy Le Malade Imaginaire. Gascon died on May 30, 2018, at the age of 91.
