About
Born in New York City, Frances Tannehill was the daughter of actor and playwright Frank Tannehill Jr. She met actor Alexander Clark during the Broadway revival of Counsellor-At-Law, and the two married in 1945. Her television credits include "The Alcoa Hour," "The Elgin Hour," "Campbell Summer Soundstage," "Broadway Television Theatre," "Kraft Theatre," and "The Philco-Goodyear Television Playhouse." Since 1995, she served as president of the Twelfth Night Club, Inc., the oldest extant club for women of the theatre in the U.S.
