Evan Dexter Parke

Evan Dexter Parke is a Jamaican-American actor and Broadway performer. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and later on Long Island.

Parke pursued higher education in economics at Cornell University before earning a master's degree from the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, supported by a William & Eva Fox Foundation Fellowship, he attended the New York Film Academy with a concentration in film producing.

His stage work includes productions of Colored People's Time, The Old Settler, and The Lion King, the last of which marked his Broadway credit in 1997. On screen, Parke began his career in television with a role on the soap opera All My Children and went on to appear in films including The Cider House Rules. He is perhaps most widely recognized for portraying Hayes in the 2003 film King Kong, a role he also reprised in the 2005 video game Peter Jackson's King Kong, in which the character is identified as Benjamin "Ben" Hayes. In 2018, he provided the voice and likeness of Luther in the video game Detroit: Become Human, and was cast in the unsold television pilot Salvage. Since 2014, his professional focus has shifted primarily to television work.
