Eugenie Forde was an American actress born on June 22, 1879, who worked across both stage and screen during the early twentieth century. She died on September 5, 1940.
Forde made her Broadway appearance in 1904, performing in Terence. Her stage career ran alongside a prolific presence in silent film, during which she appeared in 73 productions between 1912 and 1927. Among her film credits were The Diamond from the Sky (1915) and Wives and Other Wives, the latter featuring co-stars Charlotte Burton and William Garwood.
After stepping away from acting in 1924, Forde traveled to Europe, where she discovered that her films continued to draw audiences. Encouraged by fans abroad to resume her career, she returned to the screen in That's My Baby (1926). Forde was also the mother of actress Victoria Forde.
