Eros Pagni

Eros Pagni is an Italian actor and voice actor born on 28 August 1939 in La Spezia. At the age of 17, he began his formal training at the Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome. He subsequently returned to Genoa, where he performed in works by William Shakespeare, Molière, Eugene O'Neill, and Luigi Pirandello, among others.

Pagni made his Broadway debut in 1968, appearing in the play The Venetian. His screen career began in 1964, and he has since accumulated more than 30 film appearances. A significant portion of his film work developed through a collaboration with director Lina Wertmüller, with whom he appeared in Love and Anarchy, Swept Away, and All Screwed Up. He also took a minor role in Dario Argento's Deep Red. For his participation in Ettore Scola's The Dinner, Pagni shared the Nastro d'Argento Award for Best Supporting Actor with the film's full cast.

Alongside his work as a screen and stage actor, Pagni has pursued a career in Italian dubbing. He provided the Italian voice for R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket and for Christopher Lee in Gremlins 2: The New Batch. His animation dubbing credits include the character Judge Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tzekel-Kan in The Road to El Dorado, and Master Shifu across the Kung Fu Panda film series, encompassing Kung Fu Panda, Kung Fu Panda 2, and Kung Fu Panda 3.
