Erica Sweany is an American actress, dancer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Colorado. She holds a degree from the University of Northern Colorado and has built a career spanning Broadway, film, television, and video games.

Sweany made her Broadway debut in 2014 as a member of the original cast of Honeymoon in Vegas, the musical by Jason Robert Brown. In 2017 she joined the Broadway production of M. Butterfly, written by David Henry Hwang, directed by Julie Taymor, and starring Clive Owen, in an understudy capacity. Before the production closed, she stepped into the role of Mr. Owen's wife when a cast member was unable to perform. She later joined Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway as an ensemble member, aerialist, and understudy, and returned to the production in 2022 to take on the role of Ginny Potter. Her Broadway career spans 2015 to 2024.

Her television work began in 2013, when she appeared in a Sound of Music spoof during two separate episodes of The Late Show with David Letterman. In 2014 she made her network television debut playing Elise Paschen on The Blacklist, starring James Spader. She went on to guest star as Julia Becker on Eye Candy in 2015, and in 2016 appeared in It Had to Be You, portraying Anna opposite Cristin Milioti, as well as in a Lifetime Movie Network production, I Love You... But I Lied. In 2017 she played Kate Tompkins on Law & Order: SVU, and in 2021 appeared as Rachel Dunn in FBI: Most Wanted. That same year she appeared in Noah Baumbach's film White Noise, which was choreographed by her husband, David Neumann. In 2023 she portrayed Florence in Amazon Prime's Dead Ringers, starring Rachel Weisz.

Sweany's film credits include the 2018 feature How the Light Gets In, written by Jude Severin, and a featured role in Motherless Brooklyn in 2019, written, directed by, and starring Edward Norton. She also appeared in Birth/Rebirth, directed by Laura Moss and starring Marin Ireland, which screened as the opening midnight film at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023. In 2018 she provided the voice of Mrs. Londonderry in Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2.

Beyond performing, Sweany has worked in costume and production design, ceramics, photography, and iOS app development. She is married to choreographer David Neumann.
