Eric Nelsen

Eric Nelsen is an American actor and producer born on June 26, 1991, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He relocated to New York City with his family at age 13 and has built a career spanning Broadway, television, film, and producing.

Nelsen made his Broadway debut in 2008 in the original production of 13, where he portrayed Brett Sampson. He also appeared on stage in The Good Mother, produced by The New Group.

On television, Nelsen has accumulated an extensive list of credits. He served as a series regular in the Hulu revival of All My Children and held a recurring role on Showtime's The Affair. Additional television appearances include The Blacklist, Girls, The Following, NCIS, Blue Bloods, and iCarly. He is also known for his role in the Paramount+ western series 1883.

In film, Nelsen appeared in the Universal Pictures release A Walk Among the Tombstones alongside Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson, and in Coming Through the Rye opposite Academy Award winner Chris Cooper.

Nelsen has also established himself as a producer. He won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2018 for his work on the Amazon web series The Bay, and has earned three additional Daytime Emmy Awards as a producer on that same series. At age 23, he became the youngest producer in history to win an Emmy Award. As a Broadway producer, Nelsen won a Tony Award for Best Play and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play in 2020 for The Inheritance. He also produced the independent feature film Wakefield, starring Bryan Cranston and Jennifer Garner.

Nelsen married actress Sainty Reid in her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, on November 29, 2013. Their daughter, Molly Morgan Nelsen, was born on October 1, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. The family currently resides in Fort Worth.
