Eric Millegan is an American actor born on August 25, 1974, in Hackettstown, New Jersey, who grew up in Springfield, Oregon. He attended Springfield High School, where he served as student body vice president during his senior year. Millegan trained at the Interlochen Arts Camp at the Interlochen Center for the Arts before pursuing musical theater at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Millegan made his Broadway appearance in 2000, performing in Jesus Christ Superstar. He is also widely recognized for his television work, particularly his portrayal of Dr. Zack Addy on the Fox series Bones. In 2003, Out magazine named him the Hottest Up-and-Coming Openly Gay Actor of that year.
In March 2010, Millegan publicly disclosed that he has bipolar disorder, sharing the news in a piece published in The Huffington Post. On June 28, 2012, he married his long-time partner, Charles Michel, in New York City, announcing the marriage on Twitter. On November 1, 2015, Millegan participated in the TCS New York City Marathon.
