About
Eric Gurry is an American former child actor and entrepreneur, born on December 14, 1966. He appeared on Broadway in 1981 and later pursued academic and professional careers outside of performance.
Gurry's theater work began off-Broadway with the 1980 comedy Table Settings before he joined the cast of Woody Allen's Broadway play The Floating Light Bulb in 1981. That production featured Beatrice Arthur, Danny Aiello, and Jack Weston. His stage career was accompanied by a series of film roles during the early 1980s. In 1982 he appeared in Author! Author!, and the following year he co-starred in Bad Boys alongside Sean Penn, playing a 15-year-old criminal named Horowitz. Gurry also had a role in the 1986 comedy film Willy/Milly. In addition to his stage and film work, he appeared in television series and television movies throughout his career.
Following his time as a performer, Gurry pursued higher education. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and subsequently earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
