Emily Donahoe

Emily Donahoe is an American actress, writer, and producer whose stage work spans Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theater. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, San Diego.

Donahoe made her Broadway appearance in 2009 in 33 Variations. Her regional theater career includes a 2004 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Resident Play, earned for her role in Shakespeare in Hollywood at Arena Stage. In 2017, she appeared as the title character in Amy Herzog's Mary Jane at the Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, running from April 28 to May 20 of that year, a performance that earned her a Connecticut Critics Circle Award nomination.

Her Off-Broadway credits include The Christians by Lucas Hnath, in which she played Jenny at Playwrights Horizons from August 28 to October 25, 2015. That performance brought her an Obie Award in 2016.

In 2017, Donahoe was named a Beinecke Fellow at the Yale School of Drama. She is also the founder and principal of WOMENSPEAK Training, a consultancy focused on developing female speakers and providing organizations and diversity partners with tools for building female voice and visibility in professional and public settings. She has appeared as a featured speaker for the Women's Campaign School at Yale University.

Donahoe married actor Michael O'Keefe in 2011, and the couple has one child. She is a practitioner of Zen Buddhism.
