Elaine Bromka is an American actress born on January 6, 1950, whose career has spanned stage, film, and television. She appeared on Broadway between 1982 and 1995 in productions including The Rose Tattoo, Macbeth, and I'm Not Rappaport.
Beyond her Broadway work, Bromka co-wrote the one-woman play Lady Bird, Pat & Betty: Tea for Three with Eric H. Weinberger, a piece in which she portrayed three First Ladies: Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon, and Betty Ford. Her television credits include appearances on Days of Our Lives, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, and ER. She received a New England Emmy Award for her performance in the television special Catch a Rainbow.
In film, Bromka is recognized for her role as Cindy Russell in the 1989 comedy Uncle Buck. Her subsequent film work includes the role of Gloria in the 2011 drama In the Family, as well as appearances in Without a Trace (1983), Archaeology of a Woman (2012), Theresa Is a Mother (2012), and Happy Yummy Chicken (2016).
