Edwin B. Tilton was an American actor born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 15, 1859. He worked across both stage and screen during a career that spanned several decades, and he died in Hollywood, California, on January 16, 1926.

Tilton established a presence on Broadway during the early years of the twentieth century, with stage appearances between 1902 and 1906. His Broadway credits include The Galloper and Old Limerick Town.

Following his stage work, Tilton transitioned to the silent film industry, where he became a prolific screen performer. Between 1912 and 1925, he appeared in more than 60 films, building a substantial body of work in the early decades of American cinema.
