Edward Elkas (February 8, 1862 – December 17, 1933) was an American actor born in New York City whose career spanned both stage and screen. He worked across multiple decades in the entertainment industry, accumulating credits in silent film and on Broadway.
Elkas built a substantial presence in early cinema, appearing in more than 80 films between 1911 and 1926. His screen work placed him among the prolific character actors of the silent era.
His Broadway career included work both in front of and behind the curtain. In 1897, Elkas served as assistant stage manager for The Wedding Day. Nearly three decades later, he returned to Broadway as a performer, taking on the role of a headwaiter in the 1925 play A Tale of the Wolf.
