Dorothy Irene de Singleton Dewhurst (1886 – 12 December 1959) was an English stage and film actress born in Sale, Cheshire. She was married to actor George Bernard Copping, who predeceased her. Dewhurst died on 12 December 1959 in London.
Her stage career spanned productions in London during the 1920s and 1930s, as well as a Broadway appearance in 1937, when she performed in Young Madame Conti. In 1938, she took part in The Torch Theatre's London production of Katie Roche, a play by Irish playwright Teresa Deevy. The production was directed by Lennox Robinson and ran for nine performances, marking the first time the play had been staged in a London theatre. The work had previously been produced at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin and published in Famous Plays of 1935–36. In 1953, Dewhurst appeared in the original cast of The Living Room, the first play written by Graham Greene. The production premiered at Wyndham's Theatre in London under the direction of Peter Glenville.
Dewhurst also maintained an active film career from the mid-1930s until shortly before her death.
