Dorothy Allen (October 23, 1896 – September 30, 1970) was an American actress born in Houston, Texas, whose career spanned stage and screen during the 1920s.
Allen began her acting career in 1918 and subsequently appeared in a series of Poverty Row films through 1925. Her screen work included Three Green Eyes (1919), Over the Hill to the Poorhouse (1920), Beyond Price (1921), Dynamite Allen (1921), The Power Within (1921), The Broken Silence (1922), Free Air (1922), If Winter Comes (1923), Second Youth (1924), Youth for Sale (1924), and School for Wives (1925). Among her more prominent film roles was a part in Over the Hill to the Poorhouse and the role of Miranda Means in The Hoosier Schoolmaster (1924).
In 1927, Allen brought her career to Broadway, appearing in Patience. She died in New York City on September 30, 1970.
