Donald Leith Symington was an American actor born on August 30, 1925, in Baltimore, Maryland, who worked across stage, film, and television throughout his career. He died on July 24, 2013.
Symington maintained a presence on Broadway spanning more than three decades, from 1947 to 1979. His stage credits included Mourning Pictures, Murderous Angels, the musical The Dream Girl, A Girl Can Tell, and The King and I, among other productions.
Beyond the stage, Symington appeared in film and television. His screen credits included the 1977 Woody Allen film Annie Hall, in which he played Annie Hall's father, as well as the 1983 film Spring Break. He also appeared on the television series Fantasy Island.
