Born December 18, 1927, in the Bronx, New York, Donald Grody trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and graduated from New York Law School in 1955. He went on to work for the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, DC, and served as executive director of Actors' Equity Association from 1973 to 1980. He married Judith Anderson; their sons are Dion, Gordon, James, Jeremy, and Patrick. Film credits include "Heart of Spider" and "Last Call." Television credits include "Independent Lens," "Law & Order," and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."
