Don Correia is an American actor, dancer, singer, and choreographer born on August 28, 1951, in San Jose, California. His career in theater, film, and television has spanned from 1975 to 2011, encompassing a wide range of work across multiple disciplines.
Correia made his Broadway debut in A Chorus Line on July 25, 1975, launching a stage career that would include numerous productions over the following decades. His subsequent Broadway credits include Perfectly Frank, which opened November 30, 1980; Sophisticated Ladies, which began March 1, 1981; Little Me, which opened January 21, 1982; and My One and Only, which began May 1, 1983. His most prominent Broadway role came in the 1985 stage production of Singin' in the Rain, in which he played Don Lockwood. The production opened July 2, 1985, and earned Correia a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical in 1986. He later appeared in two Broadway runs of Follies, the first opening April 5, 2001, and the second on September 12, 2011.
Beyond the stage, Correia has worked in film and television. His television credits include a 1983 appearance in Parade of Stars, in which he portrayed Vernon Castle alongside his wife, actress Sandy Duncan, who played Irene Castle. He served as choreographer for the 1988 film My Stepmother Is an Alien, starring Kim Basinger, and made a cameo appearance in the reception scene of Woody Allen's 1996 film Everyone Says I Love You.
Correia has been married to actress and producer Sandy Duncan since July 21, 1980. The couple has two sons, Jeffrey, born October 5, 1982, and Michael, born March 19, 1984, both of whom appeared with their mother in a Wheat Thins commercial campaign during the late 1980s. Correia and Duncan reside in Connecticut.
