Dominique Blanchar, born Dominique Marie Thérèse Blanchard on 2 June 1927 in Paris, was a French actress who worked across stage, television, and film throughout her career. She was the daughter of actors Pierre Blanchar and Marthe Vinot. Blanchar died on 19 November 2018 at the age of 91.
Her stage career extended to Broadway, where she appeared in 1951 in L'Ecole Des Femmes. Blanchar performed in both French and English language films over the course of her career.
She was married to Belgian actor Jean Servais until his death in 1976. Among her professional distinctions, Blanchar received the Molière Award for Best Supporting Actress on two occasions: in 1997 for her role in Tout comme il faut and again in 2000 for Les Femmes Savantes.
