Dominic Fumusa

Dominic Fumusa is an American stage and screen actor born on September 13, 1969, in Dane County, Wisconsin, where he was raised as one of ten children born to Clara and Peter Fumusa. He attended McFarland High School, graduating in 1987. Fumusa went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Lawrence University, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 1994.

Before establishing himself in New York, Fumusa built his early acting experience in the Chicago theatre scene. He made his Broadway debut in 1998 in a revival of Wait Until Dark, appearing alongside Marisa Tomei and Quentin Tarantino. His stage work also includes originating roles in the Tony Award-winning production Take Me Out and in Tape.

On television, Fumusa held a recurring role on the daytime drama As the World Turns and appeared as Jim, a highly critical ex-boyfriend of Carrie Bradshaw, in the Sex and the City episode titled "Frenemies" on HBO. He became widely recognized for his role in the Showtime comedy-drama series Nurse Jackie, and later portrayed FBI Special Agent Ray Conlin in the sixth season of the Showtime drama Homeland. In film, he appeared in Michael Bay's 2016 feature 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

Fumusa is married to stage actress Ilana Levine, and the couple has two children. He converted to Judaism, the religion of his wife.
