Baskin made his mark on Broadway across a span of productions between 2005 and 2019. He originated the role of Mitch Mahoney, the Comfort Counselor, in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which served as his first major Broadway credit. That production earned him a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance in 2005. He subsequently originated the role of Jetsam in the Broadway production of The Little Mermaid, and later created the role of Gator in Memphis. His work in Memphis extended beyond the stage, as he also appeared in the filmed production Memphis: Direct from Broadway, distributed by Broadway Worldwide.
Baskin's most prominent Broadway credit is Ain't Too Proud, a musical built around the story of The Temptations.
