Deidre Goodwin is an American actress and musical theatre performer born on September 15, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, she has built a career spanning Broadway, film, and television.
Goodwin's Broadway work spans from 1996 to 2006 and includes productions such as Nine, Never Gonna Dance, Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life, and Funny Girl. In 2006, she took on the role of Sheila Bryant in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. Her stage credits also encompass Chicago, The Boys From Syracuse, The Rocky Horror Show, and Silence! The Musical.
On screen, Goodwin has appeared in the films Chicago, Half Nelson, Across the Universe, and The Bourne Legacy, as well as the television series Life on Mars. She serves on the faculty of the New York Film Academy and is the imaging voice for radio stations WCBS and KYW.
