Deep Katdare

Deep Katdare is an American actor and business executive born on July 4, 1970, in Buffalo, New York, into a Marathi family. He was raised in Chatham Township and attended the Delbarton School before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992.

Katdare began his acting career in 1996 with an appearance on New York Undercover. He made his film debut in 2001 as the lead in American Desi, a project on which he also served as producer. Subsequent screen work included a villain role in Green Card Fever in 2003, appearances in Indian Cowboy and The Cookout in 2004, and television credits on Law & Order: Trial by Jury, CSI: Miami, and Over There in 2005. In 2006 he took a leading role in Hiding Divya, on which he was also an executive producer, and later appeared on Law & Order: SVU in 2007. Additional film appearances include Americanizing Shelley in 2007 and Blind Ambition in 2008, with a television role on Golden Boy in 2013.

His Broadway career spanned 2000 to 2006 and included credits in The Tale of the Allergist's Wife and Bombay Dreams. In the latter production, which ran on Broadway from 2004 to 2006, Katdare played Vikram, the show's villain. His wife, actress Reshma Shetty, starred alongside him in the national tour of Bombay Dreams in 2006. The two married on March 19, 2011, and their daughter, Ariya Eliana, was born on October 6, 2015.

Parallel to his entertainment career, Katdare built a career in finance. He worked as an associate at BNP Paribas from 1995 to 2002, then served as a director at Centerline Capital Group from 2007 to 2014, followed by a position as Senior Vice President at Red Stone Equity Partners, LLC. As of 2015, he has held the role of Senior Vice President at The Related Companies. Katdare resides in New York City.
