Danny Gerard, born Daniel Gerard Lanzetta on May 29, 1977, in Mount Vernon, New York, is an American actor and musician of Italian descent. He performed on Broadway between 1986 and 1991, with credits that include Lost in Yonkers, Into the Light, and Les Misérables.
Gerard was part of the original Broadway cast of Lost in Yonkers, a Tony Award-winning production in which he played the role of Arty alongside Kevin Spacey, Mercedes Ruehl, and Irene Worth. He also appeared in the original cast of Falsettoland, taking on the role of Jason. His performance in that production is preserved on the second disc of the two-CD set comprising March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland.
On television, Gerard became widely recognized for his portrayal of Alan Silver in the CBS series Brooklyn Bridge. He also starred in the short-lived CBS series Blue Skies and appeared in the unaired NBC pilot News at Twelve. In 1997, he provided the voice of the title character in the animated film adaptation of Jack London's White Fang.
In 2005, Gerard released a CD titled The Story of a Minute in America. Working under his legal name Danny Lanzetta, he has also authored several books and pursues work as a spoken word artist.
