About
A singer-actress, she appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway, and regional stages, as well as on television in "Law & Order," "Oz," and "All My Children." She set aside much of her own career to care for her paralyzed husband, Christopher Reeve, and to champion research toward a cure for spinal cord injuries. She served on the boards of the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. A nonsmoker, she died of lung cancer.
