Dan Monahan

Dan Monahan is an American actor born on July 20, 1955, who built a career spanning stage and screen across several decades. He attended Olmsted Falls High School in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, before enrolling at Ohio University, where he studied both business and drama. In September 1982, he married Sharon Killius, a teacher, and the couple have a daughter.

Monahan made his Broadway appearance in 1979, performing in King Richard II. His stage work preceded a film career that gained significant momentum in the early 1980s. He is most widely recognized for portraying Edward "Pee Wee" Morris in the Porky's trilogy of teen films, a role he reprised across all three installments: Porky's in 1981, Porky's II: The Next Day in 1983, and Porky's Revenge! in 1985.

Beyond the Porky's franchise, Monahan accumulated a range of film credits throughout the 1980s and into the following decades. In 1981 alone, he appeared in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as Tom Sawyer and in Only When I Laugh as Jason, in addition to the first Porky's film. His earlier screen work included Paradiso Blu in 1980, in which he played a character named Peter. Later in the decade he appeared in Up the Creek as Max in 1984, From the Hip as Larry in 1987, and The Prince of Pennsylvania as Tommy Rutherford in 1988. His film work continued into the 1990s and beyond, with roles in The Night Flier as Merton Morrison in 1997, Shattered Illusions as Mark in 1998, Baby Geniuses as a reporter in 1999, and Romeo and Juliet in 2000, in which he played Friar Lawrence.
