About

Dan Domenech is an American actor and choreographer who grew up in Farmingdale, New York, where he attended vocational school with a focus on computer graphics and web design. Before pursuing a professional career, he was an active participant in the Long Island theater community, performing in multiple productions at The Cultural Arts Playhouse.

Domenech launched his professional acting career with the national tour of Rent, with which he traveled from 2002 to 2006. Following that run, he appeared in the pre-Broadway tryout of Sister Act in 2006 and 2007, and took part in the regional premiere of Altar Boyz in 2007. During the subsequent two years, he shifted focus to choreography for film and television, serving as an associate choreographer on Step Brothers, Semi-Pro, the 2009 remake of Fame, and the music video for Chasing Pavements, the last of which received a 2008 MTV Video Music Award nomination for Best Choreography.

In 2009, Domenech appeared in the pre-Broadway run of Wonderland before joining the first national tour of Rock of Ages in 2010. He then moved into the Broadway production of Rock of Ages, where he played the role of Drew for two years, marking his Broadway debut. His Broadway tenure with the show is documented as spanning 2009 to 2010.

Beyond Broadway, Domenech appeared as Chase Madison in Season 4 of Glee on Fox in 2012, the same year he participated in a Disney Theatrical Productions workshop of Aladdin. In 2013, he played the title role in a stage adaptation of Tarzan the Stage Musical at Meralco Theater. He also understudied the roles of Jason Dean, Kurt Kelly, and Ram Sweeney in the off-Broadway production of Heathers: The Musical, and separately understudied the role of JD in an earlier off-Broadway run of that show. In 2017, Domenech played Che in a production of Evita at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.

When not working on tour or in production, Domenech is based in New York. He has been involved with several nonprofit organizations, including Love146, the Lollipop Theater Network, which screens current theatrical releases for children in hospitals facing chronic or life-threatening illnesses, and Broadway Sings for Pride.
